Caring Hands is back!! And there are THREE three ways for you to get involved by going where you are going anyway, and cleaning out your house for THREE good causes.

  1. We will be collecting non-perishable goods for the food pantry at the Round Rock Area Serving Center. Bring them along to the picnic on May 12th and they will be delivered that afternoon. The food pantry is still in dire need of groceries for the many hundreds of families who rely monthly on it as their main source of food. All donations will stay locally to feed our friends and neighbors.
  2. We have all been reading and doing puzzles much more this past year. Collect all those books and puzzles and bring them to the picnic. We will have a table set up for a book and puzzle swap so you can pick out new reading material. All leftover items will be donated to the Veterans’ Hospital in Temple. They are always appreciative of the books and puzzles we donate for patients and their families.
  3. Due to the lockdown, the cellphones we collected have not yet been delivered to Hope Alliance, our local women’s’ shelter. So if you bought a new phone during this time and you want to donate your old phone, bring it to the picnic.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at our first in person event in over a year. We’re back, baby!!
