Caring Hands is teaming up with Fight Club Survivor, an organization that assists Breast Cancer survivors with care packages, boutique clothing, mentoring, and anything else a woman might need to boost her morale and keep her spirits up while she fights like a warrior.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. In support of that, Caring Hands is collecting new or gently used scarves (30 inch square or 17+ oblong, no winter materials) at the October luncheon. These scarves will be made available AT NO COST to any woman experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy or alopecia, or other hair thinning illnesses. Please bring your scarves to the October luncheon. If you are unable to attend the luncheon, feel free to give them to any Board member at any of our outings, games, dinners, or drop them at my house.
If you know of a woman going through chemotherapy and would like to nominate her for a care package from Fight Club Survivor that is sure to boost her spirits , please do so at www.fightclubsurvivor.org
