We had a really great first meeting of our 40th year last Wednesday. Everyone seemed to have fun catching up with all the places everyone traveled to and pictures were shared. Many members enjoyed yet again an outstanding lunch provided by CJ’s Catering and the program was a question and answer session with our Board of Directors.
If you did not attend, you really missed an amazing display of children’s blankets that have been made by our Needle Arts Group. They were very cuddly and colorful; I really wanted to take all of them home with me. Needle Arts is donating them to Hope Totes to be placed in the tote bags that are given to children when they are removed from dangerous situations.
A huge THANK YOU goes out to all of our members who step up to help with set-up and clean up at our luncheons. It really takes a village to get the room ready for our meetings, and I want our volunteers to know how much you are appreciated
As our new year kicks off, I encourage you to expand your circle of friends and register to attend at least one new Interest Group. If you have an interest that is not being covered by our current groups, please let Diana Glenn know and maybe we could start some new groups.
DON’T FORGET, the October luncheon will be our 40th Anniversary Celebration. Please register for the luncheon now so you won’t be left out. The planning committee has done a great job all Summer getting ready for this event, so please plan to join us for the fun.
See you soon,
