2022 – Welcome Back!

Jan hosted this month's Coffee Time event in her beautiful yard. One of Jan's neighbors dropped in to see what RRNN is all about. Also, one of the founding members of RRNN, Carol Chafin, stopped in as a special guest [seen with Karla].

The Safari group went to Austin to check out the Neill-Cochran House Museum, followed by lunch at the Steeping Room.

The Shopping With Friends group checked out the Georgetown Quilt Show recently. That looks like fun!

Patricia, the Interest Group Coordinator, hosted a Fun & Games Training Day at her home recently. Members signed up to learn how to play Canasta, Bunco or Mah Jongg.

The Lunch Bunch met at Fish City Grill in Georgetown for a "fish fix". Much of the conversation today was about last night's crazy tornadoes in Round Rock.

Some of the Board met for a vote to finalize our new name. The name will be announced at the April Luncheon.

A few members of the Web Technology Committee had a Zoom call meeting to go over a few things.

The Girlfriends group had a good time at Gloria's Latin Cuisine at the Domain in North Austin.

Maureen led the Safari group on a walk through the historic Hyde Park neighborhood of central Austin. It turned out to be a nice day for a walk. The group took a few minutes to look around the shop of Blue Moon Glassworks, and then stopped for a lunch break at Hyde Park Bar & Grill - known to locals as "The Fork in the Road".

Needle Arts transformed 100 t-shirts into totes for the Pflugerville Community Center’s food pantry on March 10. Amy Watercott hosted the group AND helped us finish them all in one “go” by sewing the bottom seam, so all members had to do was cut off necks and sleeves. The t-shirts were free, donated to us from people on “Buy Nothing” sites in our neighborhoods.

We had a great turnout for the March luncheons and several guests attended the event. Gwen S. led a sing-song of "Deep In The Heart Of Texas" featuring Texas native gals. Karah Powell introduced us to ROCK - Ride On Center for Kids in Georgetown, where horses are used for therapy.

The Photos With Class group celebrated Texas Independence Day with a visit to the historic Driskill Hotel in downtown Austin.
