2021 – Off To A Good Start!

  • 2021 October Events

Karla hosted the October Coffee Time. The small group included several new members and a guest who joined on the spot. Welcome to all of you!

The Lunch Bunch ventured out to Walburg for a gathering at Dale's Essenhaus. They enjoyed the burgers, catfish and German dishes. One group opted to sit outdoors and enjoy the pleasant weather.

Needle Arts delivered 31 fleece blankets, 5 flannel & crocheted baby blankets, 17 Small pillows, 30 bear puppets, 9 pillowcases, 5 burp cloths, & 41 mini animals to Hope Totes.

Who knew planning the craft sale could be so chaotic and fun. Here we are on October 14, showing off our talents, welcoming new members, and laughing our troubles away.

Needle Arts worked on coloring bags for Hope Totes. We made 23 at the meeting in September and another 27 were painted later so that we can donate 50 bags to For Every Child Inc. a non profit that fills the totes with new toiletries and clothes for children removed from their homes and are being put in the foster care system.

The October Luncheon was festive with costumes, fall decorations and an abundance of orange! Three new members were introduced, as were our new caterers. We honored cancer survivors with pink roses to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Guest Speaker Terry Belt shared some good advice on probates, estate planning, and preparing wills.

Photos With Class returned to one of their favorites spots for a nature walk - Berry Springs Park and Preserve in Georgetown.

Patricia hosted this month's Board Meeting. Her fall decorations were beautiful! Marty had a swollen foot from some ant bites - OUCH!

The Shopping With Friends group went to Georgetown to check out this year's Popptoberfest festival.
