Interest Groups, Member Services, Monthly Notes & Events:

Interest groups are for paid members. Guests may try each activity once.

- Book Discussions - Meets 3rd Monday at Barnes & Noble, La Frontera (see below).*
- Breakfast Club - Meets at Panera’s Bread by Lakeline Mall near Target from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on the 4th Monday of the month. Come for conversation and coffee.
- Bridge - Groups meet day and evenings during the month.
- Bunco - Groups meet on different days during the month.
- Bunco (South Texas Punch Bunco) - Meets first Tuesday of each month.
- Canasta - Groups meet both daytime and evenings during the month.
- Canasta Couples - Meets either 2nd Friday or Saturday.
- Canasta Couples - Several groups meet monthly. Sign up at Monthly Luncheon or members contact hosts.
- Like to Hike - Meets 3rd Tuesday. Hike various places around and outside Austin area.(see Notes below)
- Lunch Bunch - Meets last Wednesday of the month eating at various restaurants approx 11 with carpooling. (see Notes below).
- Mah-Jongg - Groups meet on different days during the month.
- Mexican Train Dominos Couples - Meets second Sundays 5pm.
- Mexican Train Dominos Couples - Meets first Thursday 5pm.
- Mexican Train Dominos Couples - Meets third Thursday 5pm.
- Movie Matinee - Movie on the fourth Tuesday. Call Cindy for info. or
Sign up at monthly luncheon to be contacted.
- Neighbors Night Out - For couples and singles. Activities including, movies, dinners, plays and even sightseeing., etc.) IN ACTIVE AT THIS TIME
- RRNN Singles - Make friends and do things (plays, concerts, weekend events, community activities, etc.) IN ACTIVE AT THIS TIME
- Safari - Sight-seeing excursions and lunch. Need leader or a different Host each month.
- Scrabble - Will meet on the second Friday, 10-12noon.
- Scrapbooking - For scrapbookers who would like to work on individual projects and get ideas from others.
- Wine Tasting - This is a fun group for couples and singles. You do not need to be a wine connoisseur. Meets 2nd Saturday of Month in the evening.

Carpooling:
Meet at the old Albertson's parking lot, between McDonald’s and Starbucks, facing I-35. The driver gets $2 for in-town travel and $3 for out-of-town travel from each passenger.
Member Services:
Book/Magazine Sharing - If you are willing to loan books, place your name inside the front covers and bring them to the luncheon.
Bring any magazines or books that you no longer want and share them with your RRNN friends.
Caring Hands:
Monthly Opportunity for club members to "give back" to our community through a variety of volunteer projects.
Neighbor to Neighbor:
Opportunities to serve one another by providing a meal after hospitalization.

We meet the third Monday at 1 pm at Barnes & Noble. On Feb. 20th, we will discuss Into Thick Air: Biking to the Bellybutton of 6 Continents by Jim Malusa. It's a nonfiction narrative about a bicycle journey all over the world.

Time to start baking! Our soldiers can tell the love in each and every homemade cookie so please make lots!! All RRNN are invited to participate and help put smiles on our soldier's faces.
If you're not able to attend the packing party, you can bring your wrapped cookies to the February luncheon and give them to Kay S. We can freeze them until packed on the 17th. Instructions for packing your cookies: Take two cookies and put them bottom to bottom, then wrap them as tightly as possible in plastic wrap. Please bring them wrapped to the packing party.
