Thank you for helping make our second annual bake sale a huge success!
1. It will taste good so make it look good too - use a decorative holder or
something to attract the buyer’s attention. Give it “curb appeal!”
2. Complete Sales Tag – Print clearly and complete the form ahead of time
a. Include special ingredients (fat free, nuts, sugar free, peanut oil, etc)
b. Price your item – dollar increments only (suggested pricing is below)
3. Bring your items (and completed sales tags) between 10:15 – 10:30.
All items should be received by 10:30!
4. Bring FRIENDS! More buyers mean more success! They can come just for
the sale (10:30 – 11:30) or come for lunch as well for $12 and stay for the
live auction.
5. Come prepared to shop! Cash and checks only (no credit cards) - This is
your opportunity to buy holiday meal goodies, holiday gifts, hostess gifts
and more!
Price ranges (these suggestions don’t include packaging costs and are just
guidelines)
Pies / Cakes $8-15
Large Cupcakes/muffins $1-3 or 6 for $5-$15
Small cookies $4-8/dozen
Breads $5-10
Large or decorated cookies $1-2 or 6 for $5-$10
There are many places to get cute and inexpensive packaging for your home made
goodies. Any of the "Dollar" stores are a great resource for inexpensive plates,
baskets, plastic bins etc. Just a walk down the aisles will spark your creative
ideas. Party supply stores also stock inexpensive containers, especially of the
seasonal variety. Don't forget Goodwill...a cute cookie jar full of cookies would
certainly catch a buyer's eye.
Most of all, remember to bring a friend, bring lots of money and enjoy!
